Is there any other vehicle that looks so much better with patina?
(Excuse those silly wheels)
For comparison, here’s a boring painted version:
And proof that it’s not just because they’re lowered.... It definitely helps, but this would still look better if it was about 4 more colors:

They do look great in patina, but they also look great when they’re nice.

They look great when they’re nice, but exponentially better with patina. That’s all I’m saying.
If I hadn’t just bought the Miata, there’s a fair chance I would have explored that red (well, reddish) one above.

50s and 60s trucks all look great with a bit of patina.

My pops used to own a farm and had a couple of sweet, sweet farm trucks. My favorite was the primer gray 50's Ford stepside, but there was also a late-60s or early-70s Chevy with a bunch of peace and love graffiti all over it. Both were wonderful.
I wish I had either of them, but especially that ford. Yummy.

I don’t agree they look exponentially better. Just two different flavors, both great.

Early 70s Suburbans look good that way too:

We had a 3-door Suburban when I was a kid. That’s all I got. No photos.
Hard to believe that a 60s model is a 6th generation of anything. :)
